Corrections are the most welcome kind of mail. If a figure on this site is wrong, we would rather hear it from you than leave it up.

That is the only address for this site. Fan & Frost is a publisher, not a retailer or an installer — there is no warehouse, no showroom, no phone line and no service van, which is why you will not find an address or a phone number here. We are not going to invent one to look more established than we are.

What we are most useful for

  • Telling us a number is wrong. A page, a figure, and ideally what you think it should be. We check it against the source and, where we are wrong, fix it and date-stamp the correction on the page — per the correction policy.
  • Telling us a manufacturer publishes a spec we recorded as missing. Those blanks are the least satisfying thing on the site. A link to the spec sheet and we will fill it in with a citation.
  • A sizing or running-cost question our guides do not answer. If enough people ask the same one, it becomes a page.
  • A product we should be looking at. Especially one that publishes complete specifications, because those are the ones we can actually assess.

What we cannot help with

  • Diagnosing a broken unit or a warranty claim. Go to the manufacturer — they have your serial number and we have no relationship with them.
  • Orders, shipping, returns or refunds. We do not sell anything. If you bought through one of our links, the purchase is between you and the retailer, and their customer service can see the order. We cannot.
  • Installation advice for electrical or structural work. Through-the-wall sleeves, attic fan wiring, cutting a ceiling for a whole-house fan. That is licensed-professional work and we will tell you to hire one, which is the same thing we say on the pages.
  • Guest posts, link exchanges or paid placements. We do not accept any of these — see the editorial policy — so a pitch will not get a reply.
